Manufacturing process of aluminum alloy forged wheels

.Feeding and cutting: The aluminum rod used for forged wheels is made of 6061, which is an aviation-grade aluminum material. Compared with the A356.2 aluminum used for general cast wheels, forged wheels do not matter in material, In terms of strength, ductility and durability, it far exceeds that of cast wheels.
Cut the aluminum rod to the size required to make the wheel.

.Aluminum rod preheating: Put the cut aluminum rod into a heating furnace for heating, heating to a set temperature, and after the material reaches a balanced temperature, take it out for forging operation.

.Forging into embryos: using a 12,000 ton forging press to forge the preheated aluminum material into a rough embryo by straight forging.

.Powerful spinning forming: using a vertical spinning machine, with 3 spinning wheels up to 25 tons per spinning wheel, the blank is spinning and formed.

.Heat treatment: After spinning forming, aluminum alloy wheels need heat treatment to strengthen. The heat treatment process includes: (1) high temperature solution treatment; (2) quenching water treatment (3) low temperature aging treatment.

.Lathe processing: The rudiment of the wheel after heat treatment is processed with a lathe to directly engrave the design outline.

.Center hole and drilling processing: drilling according to design, such as PCD 5*120, CB 72.56 and so on.

.Wheel surface treatment: fine turning processing; surface polishing treatment; surface coating treatment, etc.

.Forged wheels production completed.
